I left the house with one agenda and one agenda only- for a pain au chocolat- I've been missing the beautiful Parisian atmosphere of Angelina's, so I made my way there.
The interior always makes me feel like I have been transported to the 1600's European era, where gold lined mirrors and painted walls were the norm. How cool it is to be able to feel like you've time travelled just with the change of setting!
Anyways, it was really fun painting this pastry, the flakiness and how chocolatey- paired with a chocolate tea ( because I felt like a hot coco right now was a little much for me ahaha)
I met so many kind and sweet people. usually on a girls trip here, with their bestie or their mothers- it was heartwarming. I'll bring my mom next time.
As I finished this painting, the manager came up to me and gifted me a beautiful pink cake- their Octobre Rose- for breast cancer awareness since it is the month of October.
He didn't know how much this meant to me - I never got to meet and know my Grandmother from my Dad's side since she passed a long time before I was born due to breast cancer. Breast cancer also runs in my family. This cake was like her saying " hello! keep going darling" to me from above as I continue finding myself and creating art along the way of life.
Thank you Grandma x
With love,
xoxo Anna Kwan
