Studio Ghibli Movies food - with background

from $38.00
I was visiting Tokyo and had to stop by the Studio Ghibli restaurant that serves up a special 7 course meal inspired by the famous Ghibli movies from starting from Totoro inspired salad to Kiki's fish pumpkin casserole and ending this whole journey with a sweet dessert also inspired by Totoro, this whole meal was so magical I felt so whimsical the whole time. I shared this meal with one of my best friends since high school, where one of my fondest memories with her was watching her favourite Ghibli movie Whisper of the Heart and now bam! we are in meeting again in Tokyo enjoying and reminiscing our childhood throughout all the courses. The Chef and staff were even so kind enough to go grab us a bottle of Tabasco when they did't have any on site- genuinely so well taken care of. Honestly, I was not expecting this meal to taste amazing since I've had mediocre experiences from Themed restaurants- well, I was so greatly blown away by the quality of everything- each dish was so well thought out, so well prepared and the kitchen puts emphasis on using a bunch of locally produced produce and meat which was chef's kiss! I could not recommend this enough! Amazing, truly amazing meal :)) This place is a bit further from the Tokyo city center but easily reached by the Metro, I later spent the afternoon walking around the area which was really nice and local too which I enjoyed a lot after days in the big city With Love, Xoxo Anna Kwan Paper Finishing: Matte, smooth, non-reflective surface.
