HK style sausage bun and iced lemon tea - NYC Chinatown

from $25.00
I was missing home a little more today, so I took a walk to Chinatown. It was a Sunday afternoon and it was busy on the streets of Mott and Canal. I stepped into the classic local favourite bakery ( which was surprisingly not too crazy at this time) and ordered a sausage bun and iced tea ( with less ice) as this was my go-to order back in Hong Kong when I had afterschool piano lessons in Mong Kok. As I painted and ate, I had conversations with multiple people who passed by for an afternoon snack and then a group do Chinese Uncles and Aunties sat down and watched me paint as we chatted over our pastries. I learnt that they came here everyday- same time: around 3pm- to enjoy some treats, and that's how they met each other and now are all friends. I stayed to chat after I finished painting, they were so sweet and fascinated about what I do and didn't believe I moved here from Hong Kong. One of the Uncles was actually from Hong Kong and immigrated here when he was 11! They told me to come back when I can and chat as I am now part of their family. I smiled, with my heart so full, and replied- " I'll see you soon!" Paper Finishing: Matte, smooth, non-reflective surface. Paper Weight: 200 gsm (80 lb), thickness: 0.26 mm (10.3 mils). Sustainable Paper: FSC-certified or equivalent paper for sustainability. Available Sizes: 29 sizes in inches (US&CA) and cms (rest of the world). Learn about paper types and their unique textures and finishes here. No minimum orders, printed and shipped on demand.
